Zip Code Locators related scripts & softwares
This is a freely compiled version of only the starting parts of UK postcodes (SW1). The script will locate these to their relevant area and display the information.
This script is based on the free OpenGeoDB MySQL database.
It is an easy to use single function, which queries in the database both country codes and calculates by the geographical coordinates the distance.
The base distance is in nautical miles and will be converted to kilometers, but it is easy to change this to miles or any other unit.

Find all the zip codes in a radius of x miles from a another zip code. Its as simple as calling a function.

The Dealer Search Script is a PHP script that you can incorporate into your dealer search web page. It includes over 42,000 zip codes (up-to-date as of 2007) and a library of PHP functions that can be used to calculate distance between two zip codes. Examples are included to demonstrate how this library can be used to perform a dealer location search.
A database server, such as MySQL, is NOT required. The demo/lite version is available as a free download and can be used on your website for an unlimited time. It has the same features as the standard version with the exception that the latitude and longitude data used to calculate distances are not as precise as those included in the standard version.
